Link Round Up: Daylight Savings Time Edition

in Link Round Up

I cannot believe that it is already time to ‘Spring Forward’ and move the clock ahead an hour. (Thank you to Khaleef at Faithful With A Few for reminding us!)  Whereas I hate losing an hour of sleep, I will happily accept the extra hour of sunlight in the evening.  That means the snow will be leaving (someday) and I can start thinking about my garden.

My apologies for not doing a round up in a few weeks.  Sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging I guess.  Without further adieu, here are some of my favorite posts from the last week:

101 Centavos shares some observations from where he lives and what it means for the economy.

Barb Friedberg Personal Finance writes about how to get rich, and details four habits to attain wealth. (The great thing is, anyone is capable of developing these four habits.  However it takes some work!)

Biz of Life shares some great cartoons about the government.

Bucksome Boomer is getting some interesting junk mail!

Budgeting In the Fun Stuff is losing weight and buying new clothes. Great job BFS!!

Financial Samurai hosts a great guest post from Darwin’s Money about different side business opportunities.

First Gen American gives us a tour of Babci’s house.  I love the great descriptions of the photographs.  I can just picture Babci straightening out the doilies on the dresser!

Free Money Finance is starting a new series called ‘Reader Profiles’.   This post features ‘Bad Brad’, who really doesn’t seem so bad to me!

Grumpy Rumblings of the Untenured keeps reading those mommy boards, and it is getting them down!  Well, actually it is only making one of them sad since the other does not read those forums.

Invest It Wisely shares the lessons he learned from his first love.  And to think it all started with a pencil (or lack thereof…)

Krantcents breaks it down simply – get up and go after what you want instead of making excuses!

Len Penzo talks about how sometimes you gotta be a risk taker if you want to make the most of your money.   (I never buy refundable airline tickets either!)

Little House In the Valley is contemplating a move and she is doing a lot of research on different cities.   It is part 1 of a series, and it will be interesting to see where she goes!

Money Crashers shares ten great uses for Witch Hazel.   I had not thought about Witch Hazel in years, and now I think I have to go out and buy some.

Money Reasons gives us a glimpse into his life with his kids, and encourages everyone to take the time to enjoy their kiddos.

MoneyCone shares some interesting stats on how much money you would have if you bought Apple stock instead of Apple products.

Personal Finance By the Book tells us about his mission trip to Mexico.  This post is so descriptive and has such great pictures that you feel like you are actually there.

Saving Money Today gives a great lesson about customer service, based on his own experience.

Spruce Up Your Finances makes a great case for continuing to rent versus buying a home.

Squirreler’s had a very amusing post about different keywords people have typed that led them to his blog.

Wealth Informatics shares some great tax tips for bloggers.   Gosh I need to do my taxes soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for the mention, sorry I’m so late on commenting, I’ve been slipping a lot lately. I think I have cabin fever or the winter blahs…
