I am spoiled…

The next two weeks, I have to actually go in to the office to work.  I don’t mean my home office, that would be ok.  But I have to get up, get dressed, and drive in to work.  I have not done that in ages!

It isn’t that I mind socializing and being with the people from work.  It is just that it is a change in my routine, and I love my routine!  I still operate like a little toddler- I get out of sorts if my pattern is thrown off.  I don’t think I will fling myself down on the floor in a conference room and cry until I get to go home.  However, I may end up a little crabby, a little tired, and a little flustered.

So, if you don’t see me around as much the next couple weeks, you will know it is because I am working full time (as opposed to my usual part-time schedule), and just won’t have as much time to comment and such.

Now, it is time for me to reveal some of the great articles I have read in the past week or so:

101 Centavos gives some helpful tips for negotiating, along with some great quotes.

Barb Friedberg Personal Finance is concerned that the market may be overvalued, and what that may mean to her portfolio.  She reemphasizes that if you are going to invest, you gotta take the bad with the good, which is very true.

Budgeting In the Fun Stuff got a ridiculous offer for advertising on her site, which happens all the time in the blogging world.  What was so interesting is that the advertiser also threw is some insults in order to get his way.  (Not a suggested marketing technique in my opinion.)

Financial Samurai discusses paying off a large amount of credit card debt in just one month.  We pay our credit card off every month, but I definitely couldn’t handle paying off $35,000, which is the amount discussed in his post.  There are lots of reader’s comments that are worth reading too.

First Gen American toasted her router, and provides great financial wisdom from Babci.  Babci’s saying are very basic, but also very true.

Invest It Wisely has an excellent (and extensive) post about the future, and preparing today for what the future may bring.  It reinforces the fact that you should not just stagnate, as the world around you will be changing all the time.

Krantcents asks if you would be willing to move closer to work if you were offered $12,000 to do so.  Since I generally work from home, I would definitely take the cash.  However, if I had to move closer to where our main building is, no way.

Life and My Finances is trying to decide between buying a house or a condo.  Read the post and share your opinion!

Money Reasons shares observations from his business trip out West.  I love people watching, so I especially enjoyed this post.

MoneyCone shares how to hang pictures and other items without destroying the walls.  I want some Hercules Hooks!!!

Squirreler’s asks if it is worth the time  it takes to clip coupons  The answer is different for every person, and my thoughts are very similar to Squirreler’s.  I personally clip coupons and use them when I can, but it is not obsession.  I suppose there are opportunity costs to the time I use to clip coupons.  However, I probably would not be out making money on a Sunday morning anyway, so I see it more as a way to make our money last longer.

Wealth Informatics provides some ideas on what to do with Groupon vouchers that you have bought but decided not to use.  (Must be before expiration of course.)

I know I have read a lot more great posts than just the ones listed, but I have run out of time to write today!  Have a great Sunday.

If you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment or subscribe to the RSS feed to have future articles delivered to your feed reader. Thanks for visiting!!!

Wow..babci gets title billing today. Thank you. Well, you’ll have to think of something extra special to do with those paychecks when the time comes.
