Just wanted to pop in and say I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe holiday.
Remember, just by living in America, we already have a lot to be thankful for. I know it can be hard to see all the good in life when some bad things come along. However, try to take some time to see the great things you have everyday and may even take for granted. I know it isn’t everyday that you wake up and say “I am so glad I had a warm bed to sleep in last night”, but it a luxury that many people in the world do not have.
I hope everyone has a great meal and has a great time with their family and friends. I even hope that everyone’s favorite football team wins! Our team is the Lions, so I know we probably won’t get everything we want today, but at least our stomachs will be full, and we will have spent some nice time with family.
Finally, wanted to share what our menu will be:
- Turkey
- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes with homemade gravy
- Corn
- Rolls
- Green Beans
- Sweet Potato Casserole
- Squash
- Cranberry Sauce
- Olives (to be place on fingers)
Oh, and I will be making deviled eggs to enjoy before hand, along with many other snacks.
Have a fantastic day!

I agree with Moneycone, it does sound delicious!
Traditionally, I too liked gravy and mashed potatoes, but a few years back I watch my sister put corn on her mashed potatoes and mix them together. I decided to mimic what she did, and I was surprised that it tasted great that way too!
Have a great Thanksgiving day

Corn placed on top the mashed potatoes and gravy is a requirement in our house. Love it! I did it tonight with my hot turkey sandwich too!
Happy Thanksgiving! I am really enjoying the beautiful quiet morning at home.
Happy Thanksgiving Kris!
I definitely agree about America and how lucky we are! The menu sounds delicious too! I bet it was good. What kind of squash did you have? I love spaghetti squash, but I can’t prepare it for the life of me.
Thanks,
Timothy

Timothy- my daughter loves butternut squash. Such a cheap, healthy side dish. If only I liked it…
Happy Thanksgiving to you! Good round-up!! Thanks for including my turkey. =)

Yum. Exactly right about how much we have. I think my menu was very similar except we also had roasted potatoes and potato salad as well (we love our starches and everyone seems to like their potatoes a different way). I overstuffed myself. Deviled eggs would have made a great starter.
